The books come with many pages that need to be set up by an adult, who will need to peel and place multiple Velcro dots onto each item in the box so that the child can later match the pictures. It’s not difficult, but it does take some time—about 10-15 minutes—to prepare everything for the first use.
Once set up, the dinosaurs, shapes, and other items are wonderful for helping her learn and match. Highly recommended for ages 2 and up; just be aware that some initial setup is needed, but it's definitely worth it!

My son absolutely enjoys these books! Just a heads up—each item and its matching spot in the book need to have Velcro dots attached. I recommend placing the fuzzy side on the part that the child will pull off; after assembling 2 or 3 of these books, I’ve found this method works best. I do wish the dots were slightly larger. These books have been fantastic for his learning, though it does help to be there to guide him. Since the pieces can be easy to misplace, we keep them in a ziplock bag. Highly recommend these books!
